Sue Masters UKCP reg. MBACP

My background

I have been fully qualified since 1995 when I finished my four year training at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in Transpersonal* Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Subsequently, I have also trained in Embodied Relational Therapy with Nick Totton and undertaken specialist body focussed trauma training with the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute. I am also an EMDR, EFT and Lifespan Integration trained practitioner.

I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist and I have the Cascade Diploma in the Supervision of Individuals and Groups and supervise counsellors, psychotherapists and others in the helping professions. I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and am on the BACP Register of Counsellors & Psychotherapists.

I am a member of both the International and European Society for Trauma and Dissociation and I have been one of that society’s training faculty. As a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist and a Member of BACP I am bound by both organisations ethical frameworks and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedures for the time being in force.

Prior to my move to the therapy world, I worked in information and business research and management, within the medical, education and business consultancy environments.

*Transpersonal therapy values people’s experience of a deeper or wider sense of who they are (their sense of greater connectedness with others, nature, or the "spiritual" dimension) as a valid area of personal growth and normal expression of human-ness.
