Supervision & Consultancy

I have the Cascade Diploma in Individual & Group Supervising for Counselling, Psychotherapy and Related Professions.

I have been providing supervision for over 15 years to counsellors, psychotherapists and other helping professionals including youth workers, drug and alcohol workers, clinical psychologists and refuge staff.

I see supervision as a collaborative process providing an opportunity for the practitioner to reflect on their work whilst I provide supportive and monitoring functions, with priority given to enhancing the therapeutic or professional competence of the supervisee.

I believe that an effective supervision relationship involves optimum amounts of both support and challenge giving attention to the work with clients, to the supervisee’s professional development and to their work context.

I also offer consultancy to individuals starting practices & other projects, and organisations that proved therapeutic services. Consultancy topics have included training, service development, staff management, protection and other ethical issues.
